Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer remains on paid administrative leave after a report from Brett McMurphy. Now, a new report reveals who allegedly gave McMurphy the story in the first place.

Jeff Snook, a veteran author who's published multiple books on Ohio State's program (he's also a graduate of the university), named Texas head coach Tom Herman as the "tipster" who initiated McMurphy's report.

Urban Meyer's oldest daughter, Nicki, has since taken to Twitter to retweet several things in defense of father.

She did so against on Saturday afternoon after Herman's name was dropped.

She retweeted this:

This is just the latest in an ongoing saga. Although this doesn't change the reporting already done, it does add another wrinkle to the story.

Ohio State announced nearly a week ago that its investigation will take up to two weeks, which means a decision on Meyer's future should be coming in the near future.

Stay tuned.
