Urban Meyer's Response To Recruit's Claim He Was Treated "Like Crap" By Ohio State

In an interview with SEC Country, Kentucky 2016 four-star offensive lineman commit Landon Young said he was treated "like crap" by Ohio State.

The Wildcats' pledge said "I had gone up to camp there, and they had treated me like a piece of meat, just treated me like crap." You can read his full comments here

Urban Meyer was asked about Young's comments at his press conference this morning.

Here's what he said.

"I did read (his comments). We had a lot of respect for him as a player - a lot. I was very disappointed with our staff that we didn't offer him earlier."

"And about the treating him bad (comments), we don't do that on purpose. I went back and talked to our staff because we don't want that to be out there. But when you have one out of 650 (recruits) that say someone was treated bad, you know..."

"But I know we did not offer him early. Afterwards, he really grew into a great player and we missed on him early on. And I was very upset with our coaching staff and the recruiter in the area and the position coach. So that's the way we do our business here."

"So yeah, we do address that. I don't want that out there."
