Atlanta Falcons star safety Keanu Neal suffered an Achilles injury in the first half of today's game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Neal was hurt in a non-contact scenario, which is never a good sign. The veteran defensive back had to be carted into the locker room.

The Falcons haven't revealed any additional info on the extent of Neal's injury, but his reaction as he was taken into the tunnel said a lot.

One look at Neal's face and you can see he thinks it is serious.

If Neal tore his Achilles, it would be an absolutely crushing development. The fourth-year pro missed almost all of last season after tearing his ACL in the season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.

When healthy, Neal is a tremendous talent. The No. 17 overall pick in the 2016 draft, he made the Pro Bowl in his second season.

We'll keep you posted on Neal's injury as more info becomes available.
