Ohio State continued its domination in its rivalry against the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday. The Buckeyes head back to Columbus with a 56-27 victory over their biggest rival.
Despite Michigan playing at home, there was plenty of red in the stands during the game. Ohio State fans certainly traveled well for the big rivalry game.
After an Ohio State score early in the fourth quarter to make it a 49-27 game, Buckeye Nation was heard loud and clear at Michigan Stadium. Buckeye fans started the “O-H-I-O” chant – it was much louder than you’d expect.

So not only did Michigan have to deal with a blowout defeat to its biggest rival, the Wolverines’ fans and players had to listen to the traditional OSU chant. It’s a dark day in Ann Arbor – and not just because of the weather.
Michigan’s loss on Saturday begs the question – when’s the next time the Wolverines can beat the Buckeyes? Ohio State has now won eight straight in the series. It’s been a long, unfortunate losing streak for the Wolverines.
Michigan’s defense has been phenomenal in Big Ten play, but always seems to struggle against the Buckeyes. The Wolverines will have to improve its offensive play to have a shot next season.
