Down by 15 points early in the fourth quarter, it was almost understandable that Michigan would have to make a 4th-down conversion at some point. But their efforts to do so from their own 28-yard line failed miserably.

The Ohio State Buckeyes quickly capitalized on the short field, and extended their lead to 49-27 a few players later.

Michigan Stadium may not have appreciated the 4th-down stop, but Ohio State head coach Ryan Day sure did.

Footage of Day on the sidelines show him looking absolutely giddy at seeing his defense force the turnover on downs.

Take a look:

Coming into the 2019 season, there were a lot of questions as to whether Day had the coaching chops to replace an absolute legend in Urban Meyer.

But with an 11-0 record (soon to be 12-0 barring the miraculous), Day now has his Buckeyes in poll position for the national title race.

Suffice it to say, we can forgive Day for being a little too excited today.
