Virginia Tech's AD Shoots Down Rumors: Metallica Will Not Be In Blacksburg Monday Night

The good news for Virginia Tech fans? The nation is going to get an awesome look at the football team's famed "Enter Sandman" entrance tonight against Ohio State. The bad news? Despite rumors circulating on campus, Metallica won't be playing it live.

Virginia Tech AD Whit Babcock shot down rumors late Saturday night that the band itself, which has supported VT in the past, would be making a special appearance to kick off the Hokies' 2015 season.

While Metallica would have been a nice touch, there is certainly already enough hype for this contest. We're still pretty sure Hokies fans are going to have no problem getting up for it.
