A tweet from ESPN reporter Wendi Nix is drawing a great deal of criticism from Ohio State fans this week.

Nix, who hosts NFL Live for the network, tweeted and later deleted a shot at Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer. Nix's tweeted was meant to be a sarcastic shot at how Meyer handled the Zach Smith saga.

Nix's tweet came after the Washington Redskins claimed Reuben Foster on waivers after he was cut by the San Francisco 49ers. Foster was cut after allegations of domestic violence surfaced last week.

While Nix deleted the tweet in question, she did address it in another post. When accused of making light of domestic violence, she suggested instead that it was not a joke.

"Somewhere Urban Meyer is giving the @Redskins a big ole "Atta Boy" #ReubenFoster"

Here are the posts, and some reaction:

Meyer and the Buckeyes will take on Northwestern in the Big Ten title game on Saturday.
