On Friday night, the USC Trojans hosted No. 10 Utah in a pivotal match-up between Pac-12 rivals. Despite playing with their third-string quarterback for the majority of the game, the Trojans walked out with a 30-23 win.

It was an impressive performance from USC - and a necessary one for Clay Helton to keep his job.

Looming on the sidelines was former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer, who has been rumored for the USC gig if the program fires Helton.

Meyer, an analyst for FOX, was on the broadcast for the game. He spoke about the expectations at USC before the game.

"There are very few places in America where you're expected to win every game you play. This is one of those places. You have the high school recruiting and all the resources. I know Clay Helton as a person and as a coach. This is a huge game for USC tonight," Meyer said.

Win they did.

True freshman quarterback Kedon Slovis suffered a nasty hit in the first few minutes of the game. Redshirt junior quarterback Matt Fink threw for over 350 yards and three touchdowns to lead USC to victory.

Helton will keep his job after taking down the No. 10 team in the country...for now.
