Who Sings ESPN's New College Football Promo Song "History"?

Last year, college football fans got very familiar with "Centuries" by Fall Out Boy, given the fact that it was used as ESPN's main promo for the inaugural College Football Playoff. This year, we've got a new tune for the network's promos, and it's one that was specifically created for the network.

ESPN has been (and will be) using Lauren Alaina's "History" for its game previews. It'll also be part of the College Football Playoff. Here's more, via Taste of Country:

The track, “History,” was penned by Alaina, Jesse Frasure and Emily Weisband specifically for ESPN. It will be featured in its promotions across all platforms for the top college football matchups each week. The song will also be a key component of ESPN’s campaign building toward the College Football Playoff semifinals, as well as the National Championship.

Alaina was the runner-up in American Idol back in 2011.

What do you think, college football fans? It is an appropriate anthem for the 2015 campaign?
