Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer remains on paid administrative leave following a report from Brett McMurphy. The university announced an investigation into the way Meyer handled assault allegations against one of his former assistant coaches.
Earlier today, former Ohio State wide receivers coach Zach Smith met with Ohio State's investigative committee. The meeting comes on the heels of a new report that Smith was arrested in 2013 on drunken driving charges.
According to Smith's attorney, released a statement after the meeting.
"Zach Smith spent several hours with investigators today and did not refuse to answer a single question. The lawyers conducting the interview were thoroughly prepared and very exhaustive in their questioning of Zach. He reiterated everything he said in his ESPN interview," Brad Koffel said.
Ohio State announced a two-week timeline for the investigation nearly a week and a half ago, meaning a conclusion on Urban Meyer's future at Ohio State will likely come soon.
