Five-star cornerback Darnay Holmes chose UCLA at this afternoon’s Army All-American Game, to the dismay of his little nephew.
Holmes, the No. 2 cornerback in the country, chose to stay close to home and play for the Bruins over Nebraska, Ohio State, and USC. His little nephew, who was on hand for the ceremony, was clearly rooting for the Buckeyes, and was not thrilled when Holmes went with a different hat.
That is a little kid who is about to write out a fire angry post on one of the recruiting message boards.
Holmes, a Calabasas native, is the No. 3 recruit in the state of California for the class of 2017.
Holmes’ nephew will be glad to hear, however, that the Buckeyes did not go home empty handed. In fact, they landed the only cornerback ranked higher than his uncle at the cornerback position, Jeffrey Odukah.
