ESPN Says These Big Ten Teams Are College Football Playoff Contenders

ESPN posted a roundtable discussion this morning in which its college football writers attempt to decide how many College Football Playoff contenders there are in each conference. big

How many teams from the Big Ten does ESPN believe can contend for a spot in the College Football Playoff?

Maybe three.

Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State are all potential College Football Playoff contenders, per ESPN.

From ESPN:

Yes, we’re looking at Ohio State and Michigan, but it could be Michigan State and Ohio State or Michigan. The Spartans are still strong and get both of the other big boys at home in 2016. The Oct. 29 Michigan-Michigan State game looms large. And remember, any of these teams can likely afford one loss, especially the Buckeyes in Week 3 at Oklahoma.

Michigan State gets both Michigan and Ohio State at home this season. The Spartans are definitely not receiving as much hype as the Wolverines and the Buckeyes, but Mark Dantonio’s squad winning the conference wouldn’t be that crazy.
