The former Ohio State star and No. 1 overall pick is making a return to the court.
Greg Oden has announced some major career news. The former Ohio State basketball star is hoping to return to the court.
The 30-year-old big man wants to make a return this summer. It won’t be for the NBA, though.
Oden has entered the Big 3 draft pool. The league, started by Ice Cube, features a ton of former NBA players.
“The 30-year-old former number one pick out of Ohio State hopes to return to the court this Summer! Oden is ready to turn heads at the BIG3 Draft Combine,” the league announced.
Oden, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, has been out of the NBA since 2014. He most recently played in China from 2015-16.
The former Ohio State star battled through injuries early in his professional career and never recovered. He’s often referred to as one of the biggest “what ifs” in NBA history.
Watching Oden regain some of his form in the Big 3 would be a lot of fun.
