2 Penn State Commits Selected For 2018 Polynesian Bowl

A pair of highly-touted 2018 Penn State football commits have been selected for a major high school all-star showcase.

Five-star defensive end Micah Parsons and four-star quarterback Justin Fields are headed to play in the 2018 Polynesian Bowl. The game will be held January 20, 2018 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.

The Polynesian Bowl " features the world's elite high school players of Polynesian heritage and other ancestries." It was founded by former NFL players Jesse Sapolu and Ma’a Tanuvasa, and it debuted last month. Current NFL players Marcus Mariota and Ronnie Stanley serve as honorary captains.

“The Polynesian Bowl is the greatest all-star high school football game in Hawai’i history and already among the best in the world,” said Sapolu in a press release.
