After Notre Dame’s 2018 season came to an end, quarterback Brandon Wimbush announced his plans to transfer from the Fighting Irish program. Wimbush started the 2018 season as the team’s starting quarterback, but was benched in favor of Ian Book – who led the team to the College Football Playoff.
After losing 30-3 to Clemson in the playoff, Wimbush hit the transfer market. The former top quarterback recruit graduated from Notre Dame and will be able to play immediately for his program of choice.
One Las Vegas sportsbook released odds on where Wimbush will transfer – a Big Ten program is the favorite.
According to BetDSI, Penn State is the favorite to land the former Fighting Irish star.

Trace McSorley played his final game for the Nittany Lions this year and Tommy Stevens projects as the team’s starter in 2019. However, the team has former 4-star quarterback Sean Clifford and two other four-star quarterback recruits from the 2018 class coming to Happy Valley.
Stay tuned for transfer updates.
