Earlier this week, ESPN’s College GameDay announced where it was headed for the third week of the 2021 college football season.
Before the season even started, Penn State announced Saturday’s game will be the Nittany Lions annual “White Out” game. It’s consistently ranked as one of the best atmospheres in college football.
On Thursday afternoon, ESPN’s Chris Fowler – who will be on the call for the game – said it’s his favorite scene in college football as well.

Herbstreit – who will also be on the call this weekend – has made it clear the “White Out” game is his favorite atmosphere in college football as well.
Earlier this offseason, the longtime ESPN analyst revealed his preseason “Herbie” awards. He gave Penn State the “Best Stadium Atmosphere” award for its annual “White Out” game.
Penn State enters Saturday night’s game as a slight five-point favorite. The Nittany Lions opened the season with an impressive road win over Wisconsin and took care of business against Ball State last weekend.
Auburn, meanwhile, has dismantled its first two opponents by an average score of 61-5.
Penn State and Auburn kick off from Beaver Stadium at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
