Week 8 of the college football season rolled on Friday night with a what started as a legitimate Big Ten clash between Northwestern and Ohio State.

The Wildcats held on for for a few minutes before the Buckeyes unleashed the full potential of their offense en route to a 52-3 win. It's been a tough year for the Wildcats, who made the Big Ten title game last season.

Big Ten action continues this afternoon with a huge match-up between Penn State and Michigan.

ESPN's College GameDay kicked off from Happy Valley before the huge weekend of games. To help the GameDay crew break down the day's action, the crew announced the Guest Picker for today.

Penn State alum and former All-American diver Lara Spencer will be the guest picker this morning.

Onward State broke the news.

Spencer is best-known as the co-host of ABC's "Good Morning America," but she was also a star athlete during her collegiate career. After leaving Penn State as a nationally-ranked diver, she earned a broadcast degree.

Now she'll be back on campus to give her picks for the weekend's slate of games. We're sure she'll be rolling with the Nittany Lions at tonight's Whiteout game against Michigan.
