Former Penn State Star LaVar Arrington Writes Passionate Letter Defending His School, Joe Paterno

There's no doubt that the Jerry Sandusky scandal at Penn State has permanently changed the reputation of the school - or at the very least, its football program. Monday, former star linebacker LaVar Arrington took to Facebook with a passionate note about how he feels about the situation.

In the open letter, Arrington expresses frustration regarding how he has to constantly defend his university, noting that it was "one man's actions" that led to the scandal. He also defends former coach Joe Paterno. Check it out:

Arrington was the second overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft, and he played at the professional level for seven seasons.
