A major part of James Franklin's job entails pulling in recruits for the Penn State football program, but last weekend, he helped a lifelong Nittany Lions fan secure a marriage proposal.

Penn State hosted its annual 7-on-7 passing camp on Saturday. Among the teams participating was Calvert Hall out of Baltimore, which has produced a number of PSU players over the years.

One of the Calvert Hall assistants, Frank Curreri, had a plan. Previously, he had approached the program's head coach Donald Davis about potentially enlisting Franklin to help him propose to his girlfriend Stephanie Henry.

Henry is a Penn State graduate and a lifelong fan. Her late father also graduated from PSU, and she bleeds blue and white.

The big moment came when Franklin came over to introduce himself and then handed Curreri something he said Henry "dropped on one of the fields." It was an engagement ring.

Video of the proposal can be seen below.

Pretty cool of Franklin to take time out of what was a busy day to make a lasting memory for Curreri and Henry.

Henry's Twitter bio reads "I’m a simple woman. I like handsome dark-haired men and Penn State football." She has to be over the moon with what happened.
