James Franklin: "We're Confident" Saquon Barkley Will Play In Big Ten Title Game

Penn State running back Saquon Barkley left yesterday's game against Michigan State with an ankle injury.

After the game, PSU head coach James Franklin said he expects Barkley to play in next week's Big Ten title game. He doubled down on that prediction today, saying he is "confident" Barkley will be out there.

Barkley has rushed for 1,219 yards and 15 touchdowns as a sophomore, topping 200 yards in a game twice. Penn State could really use him against a Wisconsin defense that is known for its stinginess. The Badgers are No. 3 in the country in rush defense and scoring defense.
