The Penn State Nittany Lions have been imposing their will on Michigan State on all sides of the ball today. They lead in Lansing, 28-7, midway through the third quarter.

One analyst whose had his eyes on the game is ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit, who was "REALLY" impressed by their performance.

Taking to Twitter during the game, he complimented Penn State on their performance and for being able to rise to the occasion after an "emotional" win over Michigan last week.

REALLY impressive performance today by @PennStateFball. Not that beating MSU is big but on the road after an emotional week last week-boys showed up to play today to their credit! More of an emotional/maturity test than X/O’s.

The Nittany Lions are one of only nine remaining undefeated teams. Unless Michigan State catches them completely off-guard with a comeback for the ages, they'll climb to 8-0.

Should they reach that mark, they'll likely climb into the top five after Oklahoma's loss earlier today.

They'll have a bye next week before playing two more presently-undefeated teams on the road in the weeks that follow: at Minnesota and at Ohio State.
