Lamont Wade is Penn State-bound. The four-star cornerback from Pennsylvania announced the commitment with a video this evening.
In the video, Wade goes shopping for gear from various college football team, trying on hats and shirts from Pitt, Tennessee, UCLA, and West Virginia. Ultimately, however, it is the Penn State cap he leaves the store with, signifying his commitment to James Franklin's Nittany Lions.
Wade is the No. 5 cornerback in the country, and the second-ranked recruit in the state of Pennsylvania, per 247Sports.
Wade becomes the highest-rated recruit in Penn State's 2017 class, which is ranked third in the Big Ten and 13th in the country after his decision.
Wade is the third cornerback to join the Nittany Lions in this recruiting cycle, along with four-star Detroit native Donovan Johnson, who just committed on Tuesday, and three-star recruit D.J. Brown.
