Not every major college football player who enters his name into the NCAA's transfer portal ends up transferring to another school.

Penn State four-star defensive back Lamont Wade is the latest example of this.

The former top recruit entered his name into the NCAA's transfer portal earlier this offseason, leading people to believe that he'd be playing elsewhere in 2019.

That won't be the case, though.

Wade announced on Twitter this evening that he's decided to withdraw his name from the NCAA's transfer portal. He'll be playing for the Nittany Lions in 2019.

"That’s that... See you guys in the National Championship," he wrote on Twitter.

There have been a ton of major college football players on the move this offseason, but Wade will not be joining them.

The former top recruit was ranked the No. 5 cornerback in the country coming out of high school. He was ranked the No. 43 overall recruit in the class by 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

Penn State is coming off a relatively disappointing 2018 season in which the Nittany Lions went 9-4, finishing in third place in the Big Ten East Division.
