Penn State defensive end Torrence Brown has announced his transfer destination. He is headed to Southern Mississippi.

Brown announced his decision on Twitter this afternoon. He did not play for the Nittany Lions this season after originally announcing his retirement from football in August due to injury reasons.

Brown has one more season of eligibility to use at Southern Miss.

After redshirting in 2014, Brown appeared in 13 games in 2015, compiling 11 tackles. He added 1.5 sacks and a fumble recovery.

The 2016 season was Brown's best in Happy Valley. He saw action in all 14 games, making four starts. He recorded 33 tackles, forced three fumbles and recovered two more.

Brown also tallied his first career touchdown with a fumble return against Indiana.

Brown was limited to three games played in 2017 due to an eye injury.
