Carter was expected to provide depth on the defensive front during the upcoming 206 college football season, but the Nittany Lions will have to look elsewhere.
PSU released a statement on the dismissal:
“Kam Carter was informed on April 21 that he is no longer a member of the Penn State football team for a violation of team rules. We appreciate Kam’s contributions to the program and wish him success in the future.”
This marks the second time PSU has dismissed a football player in the last week, following tight end Brent Wilkerson’s dismissal.
