Penn State Suspends WR Saeed Blacknall, LB Manny Bowen For Rose Bowl

Penn State has suspended two key contributors for violations of team rules.

Wide receiver Saeed Blacknall and linebacker Manny Bowen will both sit out the upcoming Rose Bowl against USC.

Blacknall, a junior, exploded for six receptions, 155 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Penn State's Big Ten title game win over Wisconsin. For the season, he finished with 15 catches for 347 yards and three scores.

Bowen, a sophomore, is tied for fourth place on the team with 68 tackles. He also recorded three quarterback hurries and a pair of sacks.

Penn State and USC will square off in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 2 at 5:00 p.m. ET. ESPN has the broadcast.
