Photos: Pennsylvania's Little League World Series Team Attended Penn State Football Practice

Red Land Little League from Lewisberry, Pa. is one of the final four teams remaining in this summer's Little League World Series, and ahead of the semi-final matchup against Pearland West out of Texas this afternoon, the team took a quick trip to State College to check out Penn State football practice. PennLive.com caught up with Red Land's coach, who says that many of his players are Penn State fans, so this had to be a thrill.

"To be out here with this Penn State football team, when most of these kids come to Penn State football games and most of them are Penn State fans, for Coach (James) Franklin to open his doors to us was an unbelievable experience,'' Peifer said shortly after watching one of his top players, second baseman Braden Kolmansberger, nail a 30-gard field goal attempt down the middle near the end of practice.

Based on the pictures out from the practice, it looks like Penn State's players enjoyed the experience as well.

Red Land will play for the U.S. Championship at 3:30 today on ABC. Penn State opens up with Temple a week from today. This could be a pretty good few weeks for Pennsylvania sports fans.
