Photo: A Banner Demanding That The Joe Paterno Statue Be Put Back Is Flying Around Penn State

Update: It turns out that this is actually an advertisement for a company called Distinct Collectables, a company that makes miniature bronze Joe Paterno statues. We have to admit, this is a clever bit of advertising.

Earlier: The Joe Paterno statue at Penn State was taken down in July of 2012 in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal. It was a move that angered some members of the Nittany Lion community, who argued that the statue should have not been removed. Those people are still angry, and today, someone paid for a plane to fly around near Beaver Stadium with a banner that says "Bring The Statue Home."
