In just under a half hour the Penn State Nittany Lions will face off against the Idaho Vandals in the first game of the season for both programs.

Penn State enters the game as the heavy favorite. Nittany Lions fans are excited to see what they have in starting quarterback Sean Clifford this season.

After losing Trace McSorley to the NFL draft, Clifford beat out Tommy Stevens - who transferred to Mississippi State - and Will Levis for the starting role.

However, it's Idaho's quarterback who is stealing the headlines.

Vandals quarterback Colton Richardson isn't your average quarterback. He's built more like a defensive tackle, instead.

Richard stand 6-foot-4 and weighs in at 285-pounds according to the Idaho roster.

Penn State finished the 2018 season with the fourth-most sacks in the nation, but Richardson will be hard to bring down this afternoon.

Richardson appeared in five games for Idaho during the 2018 season. He racked up 434 yards and five touchdowns through the air while completing 51.7-percent of his passes.

We'll see what he can do on the field this afternoon against one of the nation's best defensive fronts.

Penn State and Idaho kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
