Video: Penn State Players Are Playing Life-Sized Bowling At THON

Penn State players play life-seize bowling during THON.

Penn State Bowling

This weekend is THON at Penn State. Short for Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, it's the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, raising awareness and funds for the battle against childhood cancer.

During THON weekend, everyone gets involved, including Penn State football players. Children stricken with cancer and their families are able to tour the Nittany Lions' facilities and spend time meeting the players. Last year, there was even a huge dance party

This year, one of the games players and guests are partaking is life-sized bowling with jumbo balls and pins.

Yes, the rules are a little different for this type of bowling. You can tackle the pins, as PSU offensive lineman Steven Gonzalez demonstrates here.

THON is an awesome event, year in and year out. It's great seeing how these athletes have such a positive impact on their special visitors.
