Saturday night, Penn State played in its first postseason game in three years, defeating Boston College in a wild Pinstripe Bowl that went into overtime. It was an emotional victory for the Nittany Lions’ players, who, through no fault of their own, were forced to deal with a multi-year bowl ban and reduced scholarships as a result of the Jerry Sandusky scandal.
After the game, a couple of players – Akeel Lynch and Adam Breneman – took to Twitter to post messages to those who said they’d never get to play in a bowl game.
Pinstripe Bowl Champions!! “You’ll never play in post season game if you stay at PennState.” they said… Great to be back.

3 years ago they said we wouldn’t be able to field a team… now they are calling us bowl CHAMPIONS! The future is so bright! #WEARE

Penn State finishes the season with a 7-6 record and a bowl game victory. Things are looking up in Happy Valley.
