In college football, no news is good news during the dog days of summer.

Unfortunately for Purdue, there is news today, as according to ESPN, Purdue cornerback Sean Collins was arrested outside a bar in West Lafayette on Saturday after allegedly hitting a woman while drunk. He is being charged with public intoxication, battery, and resisting arrest.

Holly Fullerton, 22, was the woman that Collins allegedly struck, and recently gave her report to WLFI News:

" Fullerton said Collins tried to start a fight with her male friend so she says she stepped in front of Collins.

"I put my hand straight out and said please step back," Fullerton said.

Fullerton said Collins was so intoxicated, he fell down and said when he got up, he grabbed her arm and then struck her left cheek with his fist.

"He hit me so hard that I hit the corner of the building I was standing by and scratched up my elbow then fell flat on the concrete," Fullerton said. " ~ In report to WLFI News

Fullerton was treated at the located hospital and was deemed okay, as she was released later that night.

Collins was released from jail on $10,000 bond, and has since been suspended from the team.
