On Friday afternoon the Purdue Boilermakers and Auburn Tigers met in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl. Unfortunately, only one team truly showed up to play on Friday afternoon.

Auburn has dominated the game on both sides of the ball. The Tigers are on pace for nearly 800 yards of total offense and 112 points after racking up 397 yards and 56 points in the first half.

Auburn's 56 points at the half are the most in any first half of a bowl game in college football history. The scoring total passes West Virginia's 49 points in the team's first half against Clemson in the Orange Bowl in 2012.

That same West Virginia program set the all-time scoring mark for a bowl game at 70 points - which was matched this season by Army in the Knights win over Houston.

Auburn is on pace to crush that record, though we'll have to wait and see if the Tigers field their starters in the second half with the game in hand.

Stay tuned.
