Story: Illinois' D.J. Richardson scored 18 points Wednesday night as the Illini played well from start to finish to beat Purdue, 79-59. An acrobatic dunk by Tyler Griffey with 8:46 left in the game gave Illinois an 18 point margin, effectively ending the Boilermakers hopes of getting back the momentum. Joseph Bertrand also had a career high of 18 rebounds. This marks Illinois' third win in a row, including last week's victory over No. 1 Indiana at the buzzer.
