Video: Blake Bortles Says Purdue Wanted Him To Be A Tight End

Brace yourselves, Purdue fans - this is going to be tough to hear. Former UCF star Blake Bortles, who is expected to be one of the first quarterbacks taken in this year's NFL draft, told Dan Patrick Wednesday morning that his "biggest" college football offer was from the Boilermakers. Unfortunately, they wanted him to play tight end, not quarterback. Bortles obviously wound up choosing Central Florida, where he could play the position that he wanted to play.

While one player does not make a team, UCF, under Bortles' guidance, has won double-digit games in the past two seasons - including a Fiesta Bowl victory this year. Purdue has not faredquite as well.
