On Saturday afternoon, the Purdue Boilermakers took the field against Minnesota for a Big Ten clash.

The Gophers jumped out to an early 14-3 lead, but that was just the beginning of Purdue's problems.

Star wide receiver Rondale Moore appeared to suffer a leg injury late in the first quarter. Moore ran a route and video appeared to catch him hyper-extended his knee.

He immediately went to the ground and grasped at the injured leg. Moore needed help leaving the field and went to the medical tent.

Video of the play is tough to watch.

Moore leads the Boilermakers in receiving yards with 369 coming into this afternoon's game. That's good enough to be in the top-20 in receiving yards in the nation.

He's tied for 11th in the nation with 27 receptions on the year.

He finished the 2018 season with 114 receptions on the year, which was No. 1 in the country - despite being just a freshman. Moore is one of the best offensive weapons in the country and easily the best part of the Purdue offense.

Without him on the field, the Boilermakers will struggle to keep pace.

Quarterback Elijah Sindelar was taken to the locker room on the very same play.

Stay tuned for the latest.
