Eric LeGrand Posts Video Of Himself Moving Back, Shoulders Fluidly

Since he suffered a spinal cord injury and became paralyzed from the waist down during a game against Army in 2010, former Rutgers defensive tackle Eric LeGrand has inspired countless people with his unwavering determination to walk again.

LeGrand hasn't reached his goal yet, but he's made tremendous progress in the four and a half years since his injury. He often posts updates of his rehabilitation on social media, whether they show him moving his arm and shoulder in a sling or runningon a treadmill with the help of therapists and an assisting apparatus.

Tonight, LeGrand shared a video on his Instagram that showed him strengthening his back muscles by bending forward while sitting in his wheelchair. LeGrand has done this before, but his movements are noticeably more fluid than they were when he performed the same exercise roughly a year ago.

LeGrand is a tremendous example of courage and the will to never give up. His recovery has been wondrous to watch thus far, and there's little doubt it will continue to be in the future.
