Fans React To Greg Schiano's Telling Halftime Interview At Michigan
Greg Schiano's halftime interview from Sept. 29's game between Rutgers and Michigan has resurfaced on social media this Thursday because of the latest news surrounding Jim Harbaugh's program.
Michigan is being investigated by the NCAA for "possibly scouting opponents in person in an alleged attempt to ascertain play calling signs."
Although these allegations haven't been confirmed at this time, Schiano made it known on Sept. 29 that "some stuff" was taking place on the field against Michigan. Perhaps he was talking about sign-stealing.
"Well, there's some stuff going on out there, so we just got to slow it down a little bit," Schiano said. "There's some things going on that aren't right as well so we'll talk about how to handle it."
The college football community couldn't wait to comment on Schiano's halftime interview from a few weeks ago now that it has resurfaced.
"Interesting..," Beau Morgan wrote. "It's also interesting that Harbaugh has only gotten a 3 game ban for something that essentially got Herm Edwards fired, if you think the Harbaugh thing was over a cheeseburger you should probably actually do some research on it.."
"Rutgers mane. Michigan was playing Rutgers and had to cheat," one person said. "Harbaugh’s one of the biggest jokes there ever was."
"If you thought to yourself at times these past couple of years… ‘it’s as if a Michigan was in the opposing team’s huddle,’ it’s because apparently they were," Kyle Lamb commented.
"He would definitely know about things going on that aren’t right," another person said.
Two of Michigan's opponents told Yahoo! Sports that Harbaugh's squad knew their play signs. It's unclear if Rutgers was one of those teams.
Michigan ultimately defeated Rutgers by 24 points this season.
