Report: Rutgers University Athletic Director Julie Hermann Was Involved In Another Sex Discrimination Lawsuit

It's not looking good for Hermann.

Just days after Rutgers University had to defend its Athletic Director hiring decision, more background information on Julie Hermann has been released.

According to The New York Times, Hermann was allegedly involved in another sex discrimination lawsuit. In 2008, during her time as Louisville's senior athletics administrator, Mary Banker, an assistant track and field coach, reportedly complained to Hermann about "discriminatory treatment" from the head track coach. After taking her concerns to the Human Resources department, Banker was fired from her position in less than a month. Banker then sued Louisville's athletic department. The lawsuit puts the blame largely on Hermann for the decision to fire Banker.

This is the second lawsuit involving Hermann, who was also accused last week of verbal abuse of a volleyball team she coached at Tennessee in the 1990s.With pressure from state legislators, will Rutgers University be forced to fire Hermann before she starts?
