Rutgers Suspends WR Leonte Carroo Indefinitely Following Incident Saturday Night

The news keeps coming out of Piscataway, N.J., and once again it's not good for Rutgers football. Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood announced on Sunday that the team's star wide receiver Leonte Carroo has been suspended indefinitely following an incident that took place outside the stadium after RU's 37-34 loss to Washington State on Saturday.

This comes not only after Carroo was suspended for the first half of the season opener for breaking curfew, but after a litany of Rutgers players were arrested for assault and home invasion. Those players have been dismissed from the program.

Flood told local reporters he does not feel the team is out of control off the field, despite recent incidents.

A senior, Carroo is Rutgers' top offensive player and the school's all-time record holder for career touchdown catches.

The Scarlet Knights face Penn State in Happy Valley Saturday night. It's safe to say the team isn't entering the contest on a high note.
