Photos/Video: Rutgers Football Unveils New Uniforms For 2016

Since taking over as head coach at Rutgers in December, Chris Ash has changed a lot of things up as he tries to build a culture to his liking in Piscataway.

One of the changes Ash made involved ditching Rutgers' Nike Pro Combat uniforms and returning to a more "traditional" look. The team unveiled its new gear tonight at the university's annual "R Awards" for student-athletes.

Those bear a clear resemblance toward the uniforms Rutgers wore during the mid-2000's and they look nothing like the uniforms the Scarlet Knights have worn the last four years, which is probably a good thing. Rutgers' all-red home getup was pretty ugly, and while the all-white and all-black uniforms weren't bad looking, these seem like an upgrade.
