Sadly, we've got another report of fan violence following a football game. This time, it's coming from Madison, Wisconsin, following Iowa's victory over the Badgers this past Saturday. According to WKOW, UW-Madison Police are looking for help from the public as they try to find a Badgers fan who "attacked" a 15-year-old Iowa fan. Here's more:
They say around 2:30 p.m., the boy, wearing Iowa Hawkeyes gear, was exiting the stadium with friends when an unidentified man punched him in the face. The teen victim says he was mildly teasing his friend, who is a Badgers fan, about the Iowa win. That's when the suspect approached him, striking him in the face. The attack was unprovoked and the suspect then fled into the crowd.
This sounds remarkably similar to the story we heard following the Alabama vs. Ole Miss game two weeks ago, minus the fact that the alleged victim here is a minor. This needs to stop happening.
