Alabama OLB Christian Bell Announced Transfer To Wisconsin

Alabama freshman outside linebacker Christian Bell is transferring to Wisconsin.

He tweeted his decision this afternoon:

">July 28, 2016

Bell originally Tweeted about his decision to transfer from the Crimson Tide football program on Sunday.

His announcement at that time neither gave specific reason for his decision nor made any indication about his future destination:

First, I want to thank the University of Alabama for the opportunity they gave me to be a Student-Athlete and I wanna also thank my teammates for many unforgettable moments. I also would like to thank my family and friends for the support they gave me during this time. After a lot of thoughts and prayers, I have decided to transfer from the University of Alabama. Thank you again to my coaches and teammates for every moment. GOD'S PLAN!! GOD FIRST!!

A former three-star recruit, Bell enrolled at Alabama in January, during the team's preparation for the CFP National Championship Game. He had a grayshirt season in 2015.

With this decision to transfer, Bell becomes the fourth Crimson Tide player to transfer in this offseason. Before Bell, Alabama lost safety Shawk Burgess-Becker, cornerback Maurice Smith and linebacker Adonis Thomas.
