Freshman D'Mitrik Price will start in Bronson Koenig's place for the Badgers' game tonight against Michigan.
Senior Bronson Koenig has been day-to-day with a calf strain in his left leg, and it looks like the star point guard will be held out of tonight's contest against the Michigan Wolverines. He initially suffered the injury back in a January contest against Penn State, and it's apparently been lingering ever since. Koenig has been averaging a career high 13.4 points this year.
With Koenig ruled out, freshman D'Mitrik Trice will take his spot in the lineup, and tonight will be his first career start.
Price has been logging about 17 minutes per game in his back-up role this season, averaging 5.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.6 steals.
The No. 11 ranked Wisconsin Badgers currently sit atop the Big Ten at 10-2, with a 21-4 overall record. They're 2.5-point underdogs in tonight's matchup versus Michigan. You can catch the game on ESPN at 7:00 p.m. ET.
