Andrew Endicott, a freshman kicker for the Wisconsin Badgers, will need to make room in his locker this season for a few mementos. Endicott and a few other teammates, including sophomore offensive lineman Ray Ball, hung out with a 6-year old Badger fan named Ryan Ehlert last weekend, giving him a tour of the school's football facilities. The 'thank you' note that Endicott received is beyond cute.
Here's the text, followed by a photo of what was sent to Endicott:
"Dear Andrew (#85),
Thanks for letting me shag balls at Camp Randall this past Saturday. I had a lot of fun. The best part was being able to meet you and your other teammates like Ray Ball. I also really liked seeing the locker room and especially the axe.
I am sending you one of my minions from Despicable Me 2. I hope that you can put it in your locker along with my picture and that they will bring you good luck this season.
Thanks again for everything, and Go Badgers!!
Ryan Ehlert, Age 6"
The axe, we're assuming, is Paul Bunyan's axe, which the victor of the annual matchup between Wisconsin-Minnesota keeps in its locker room.
Under normal circumstances, Endicott's teammates would probably make fun of him for having a children's toy in his football locker. Something tells me they'll understand this time around.
