One of the greatest weekends of college football is nearly here. Rivalry week is what the sport is all about. No. 12 Wisconsin travels to face No. 10 Minnesota in a pivotal Big Ten West Division contest. The winner takes home Paul Bunyan's Axe as a reward and will play in the Big Ten title game.

ESPN analyst Bill Connelly has released his SP+ score predictions for all of Saturday's big time rivalry games. Connelly expects Minnesota-Wisconsin to be one of the closer games of the weekend, giving the Golden Gophers a slight edge.

SP+ prediction: Minnesota 29, Wisconsin 28

A Minnesota victory would move the Golden Gophers to 11-1 and send them to the Big Ten title game. PJ Fleck's team would then face Ohio State in that conference championship game.

The Badgers are currently one game behind the Golden Gophers in the Big Ten West Division. But if Wisconsin were to beat Minnesota on Saturday, that would give the Badgers the tie-breaker, thereby sending UW to the Big Ten championship game.

Needless to say - there's a ton on the line in this rivalry game.

Wisconsin is looking to avenge last year's loss to the Golden Gophers. Minnesota came away with a blowout win on Wisconsin's home field. The Badgers would like to deliver the same fate to the Golden Gophers on Saturday.

Minnesota-Wisconsin kicks off this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
