Before the season started the Nebraska-Wisconsin game might have been circled as a Big Ten Championship play-in game. But now it looks like it only offers a chance for the two teams to spoil the other’s seasons.
To say that the Huskers have fallen short of expectations would be a major understatement. Nebraska is currently on a three-game losing streak, falling to Indiana and Purdue before their bye this past week. If they can’t muster two more wins, they’ll miss out on bowl eligibility for their third year in a row.
Wisconsin has similarly seen the glow fade from their season after a promising 6-0 start. But after losing back-to-back games against Illinois and Ohio State, they are out of the national title picture and no longer control their own destiny in the Big Ten West.
ESPN’s computer model has released its prediction for the game.
ESPN’s computer model believes that Wisconsin has an overwhelming advantage in this game. The computer model gives the Badgers an 85.9 percent chance to win this Saturday’s game.
The Badgers have dominated this series ever since Nebraska joined the Big Ten. They are currently on a six-game winning streak against the Huskers and have won seven of their last eight against them.
The game will be played at 12:00 p.m. EST and will air on BTN.
