The Wisconsin Badgers finished up their regular season today with a hard-fought home loss against the Michigan State Spartans.
This was a trying season for the Badgers. The team took a step back from its usual standard of excellence, finishing 7-11 in Big Ten play and 14-17 overall.
Barring a miracle run in the upcoming Big Ten Tournament, Wisconsin's NCAA Tournament streak will be snapped. The last time the Badgers missed the Big Dance was in 1998.
In order for Wisconsin to go on a run, the Badgers must first start by beating Maryland on Thursday. The Terps are the No. 8 seed while Wisconsin is No. 9.
The winner of that game gets Michigan State in the quarterfinals on Friday night.
The top 11 seeds in the Big Ten Tournament are all set. You can see them below.
The full Big Ten Tournament bracket will be unveiled later tonight. We’ll have it for you when it comes out.
The 2018 Big Ten Tournament will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The action gets underway there Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. ET.
The action will be broadcast on BTN, with the later rounds on CBS.
