Nobody expected No. 6 Wisconsin to lose to Illinois today. The Fighting Illini stuck around all game long and simply didn't quit.

Illinois went on to kick a game winning field goal as time expired for a 24-23 win over the Badgers. The upset has shocked the college football world. Many were expecting Wisconsin to be a legitimate playoff contender. But Saturday's outcome might've ended those hopes.

Wisconsin fans are chiming in on the embarrassing loss. Former Badgers star DE JJ Watt had a humorous response to his former team's loss on Saturday.

The Badgers' loss to Illinois is actually historic. Wisconsin entered Saturday's contest as a 30.5 point favorite according to Caesars Sportsbook. That marks Saturday's outcome as the second largest upset in Big Ten history.

Wisconsin had a dominant start to the season, going 6-0 with impressive wins over Michigan and Michigan State. But the Badgers let Illinois hang around for too long on Saturday. The Fighting Illini never gave up, and proceeded to pull off the improbable upset.

Just a week ago, Illinois fans were calling for the school to fire head coach Lovie Smith. The Fighting Illini faced a 28-0 deficit in the first half, but managed to pull within three points in the third quarter.

The Wolverines went on to win the game. But the effort showed Smith's Fighting Illini won't go down without a fight.

Illinois' upset win on Saturday will be remembered for a long time.
