A number of college basketball teams will be honoring “Princess Lacey” for Coaches vs. Cancer Week.
Lacey Holsworth, a Michigan State fan known to many as “Princess Lacey,” passed away in April 2014 after a battle with cancer at the age of 8. Her Spartans’ fandom and relationship with former MSU star Adreian Payne captured the hearts of college basketball fans everywhere.
College basketball teams’ coaching staffs will be wearing special sneakers and gold shoelaces to help promote the fight against pediatric cancer.
